Dying Dilemma 2025 Part 13

Dying Dilemma 2025 Part 13

Time to crack on adding Coins

Upper and Lower Done

I have finally got all the Coins added to the Lower Tier of the Skirt. It is definitely looking a bit more fancy.

Gold Beads

I have purchased some Gold Beads  off our local market to go with the ones I already have at home.

Choice of Colours

I have a Choice of Colours to use. I can either continue using Black or I can use the Yellow to go with the Gold Beads.

Thread Teardrop

I have decided to go with the Black Thread as it is more forgiving. I make a Knot in one end then Thread the Teardrop on to it. I then add two small Gold Beads.

Ready to Sew

I have made a group and am now Ready to Sew.

Dionne’s Draught Excluder 2019 - Part 13

Dionne’s Draught Excluder 2019 - Part 13

I have now Unpicked the Stitches that had gone through both sides.

Prevent Sewing Through

In order to prevent a repetition of my mistake I have part Folded the Face. I can now continue Stitching the Whiskers in Backstitch.

End Whiskers

Once I had got as far as the Outer Edge of the Face I stopped Stitching. I then pulled through the rest of the Thread. I left an inch or so hanging then Trimmed the rest.

Whiskers Complete

Now I knew what I was doing I repeated the process. I Sewed several on each side at various angles.

Inside Out

I then turned the Rabbit’s Face Inside Out. This is so I could start Stitching the Sides together.

Halfway Stitched

I have now Blanket Stitched Halfway along the Sides to where the Curve is in the above photograph. I need to think how I am going to progress.

Mademoiselle Marionette 2018 Part 13

Mademoiselle Marionette 2018 Part 13

I am now moving on to recovering the last parts of the Marionette which are the Hands

Hemmed Hand Pieces

I cut and hemmed a couple of pieces of White material

Covering Hand

I joined the material by sewing along the edge towards the tip of the Hand. However I only had a rough guess at how much material I needed.

Trimming Hand

I trimmed off the hem refolded the material and then hemmed it again.

Hand Done

The Hand is finished and all I have to do is cover the other one and that is the Doll part complete apart from the clothing.

Fastening the Cross

Taking some string I wound around the two sticks in order to fasten them together.

Joining the Cross

I then joined the end of the string from the Cross to the string from the Doll.

STOP
I am not carrying on with this part as I have been given some valuable advice from Helen (Laura’s mum*). I therefore have to do some rethinking.
