Time for a change.

Lots of Tails

I have been Sewing on Coins and Beads for ages. I want a bit of a Break as Fingers getting a bit Sore. I decided to turn the Skirt inside out. I am looking to see how many Tails I have. It is a Lot.

More to Come

I have been Cutting Off Tails for quite a while. I have a huge pile of Tail Ends. This is because each Tail consists of at least 6 individual Threads. I have done both Tiers but I will have More to Come when I start the next round of Beads.

Wrong Hole

Oh No! I have got out my new packet of Beads and I have found that they are different from the ones I have been using. The Hole is in the Wrong Place. Instead of being at the Bottom there are two Holes at the Top.

Single Bead

Alright not to Panic. I simply need to rework how I do this. I pull the Thread through like I did with the Coins. Then I add a Single Bead. It looks okay from a distance. So I can continue.

Time to crack on adding Coins

Upper and Lower Done

I have finally got all the Coins added to the Lower Tier of the Skirt. It is definitely looking a bit more fancy.

Gold Beads

I have purchased some Gold Beads  off our local market to go with the ones I already have at home.

Choice of Colours

I have a Choice of Colours to use. I can either continue using Black or I can use the Yellow to go with the Gold Beads.

Thread Teardrop

I have decided to go with the Black Thread as it is more forgiving. I make a Knot in one end then Thread the Teardrop on to it. I then add two small Gold Beads.

Ready to Sew

I have made a group and am now Ready to Sew.

Now I have the Coin Jingles I can make a start

Skirt

I take the Skirt and spread it out so I can see.

Undo Tassels

I Undo the Tassels as I am going to start on the Second Trim

Find the Needle

Since I am using a full Embroidery Thread I need to find the right Needle. It needs to hold the Thread but not damage the Skirt.

Pin to Start

I line up the Toggles and place a Pin in where I am going to start.

After last weeks long blog this week a shorter one.

Belly Hip Scarf

Along with the other two Hip Scarves I have already mentioned I have this one. To be honest I am not really sure what the colour is. The nearest Shade I can think of is Mauve.

Unpick Coins

Whatever the Shade I am going to scrap it. I am going to Unpick the Coins and Reuse them elsewhere.

String of Coins

I have now Unpicked one String of Coins. I am trying to keep them the way they were on the Scarf. I hope to be able to Replicate the Pattern.

Section Unpicked

This is one complete Section of Unpicked Coins. I still have another 2 to do. However it is going to have to wait for now.
