Mademoiselle Marionette Summer Apparel 2019 Part 2

I now had the measurements for the Waist I could start making the Skirt.

Elastic and Hook

First of all I measured, cut and Hemmed a length of Elastic then added a Hook and Eye.

Skirt Parts

I had already Hemmed the Skirt Parts so all I had to do was Fold them at the right point.

Pinned Skirt Fold

The above photograph shows how I worked out where to Fold the Skirt. I Folded the circle over the Elastic then Pinned it. I then place a few tacking stitches to hold in place.

Once I had done that I could easily slip the Skirt Part on and off the Elastic

Skirt Parts Sewn

I carefully overlapped two pieces of the same material and then sewed them together.

I made three sets of two Skirt Parts.

Skirt Arrangement

I then arranged two sections to fit together on the Elastic

As you can see in the above photograph this meant that the Skirt Front and Back could be changed giving several different outfits.
